Barnetimen (Children’s Hour) is online! Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to join via livestream on our website here or Vesterheim’s Facebook page. A recording will be available any time after the event on Vesteheim’s YouTube channel.

Connect with Jennifer Kovarik, Vesterheim’s Youth Educator, to explore objects in the museum’s collection and make art inspired by those objects.

This month’s exploration and art activity are all about spoons, something we have a lot of at Vesterheim and that you probably have in your home, too. This is a spoon outline (PDF) to download and decorate however you choose! You’ll find some stories and images of amazing Vesterheim spoons here.

Barnetimen meets the third Tuesday of the month, September through April, from 10-10:30 a.m. and is geared toward 3-5 year olds, but all ages are welcome. The program is free of charge and no previous sign-up is necessary.
