Vesterheim welcomes preschoolers and their caregivers to Barnetimen Children’s Hour. Meet in the lobby of the museum’s Main Building to explore objects and stories in the museum’s collection and make fun art. During the November program, explore the exhibit Embellishment and discover the many ways artists and makers embellish and decorate useful objects to make them interesting and beautiful. Participants will decorate a small storage box to take home.

Barnetimen programs are free and geared toward 3- to 5-year-olds, but all ages are welcome. New programs are offered in person at the museum the third Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., September through April.
