Meet historian, chef, and author Patrice Johnson for a book signing of Jul: Swedish American Holiday Traditions and Land of a 10,000 Plates!

Johnson, AKA Nordic food geek and meatball historian, is a cultural communicator from the Twin Cities specializing in Nordic foodways. She is the author of numerous publications, writes a weekly food and culture column for her hometown newspaper, and teaches Nordic food classes at Vesterheim and throughout the Midwest.

Patrice has taught online classes for Vesterheim Folk Art School for years. She has been an integral part of making our Nordic Cooking programming successful online, and we’re so excited to welcome her to Decorah! Patrice’s expertise and enthusiasm is contagious – she’s such a joy to connect with.
