You are invited to join Des Moines Friends of Vesterheim to enjoy an afternoon featuring a visual tour of the Favorite Things exhibit, and a very special midday meal.

Schedule

Social Time – 11:30 a.m.
Come early to enjoy a cup of coffee and socialize.

Middag – 12:00 p.m.
Featuring smørbrød, cold salad, herring, cheese and crackers, fruit, and specialty cake.

Program – 1:00 p.m.
Favorite Things
From Viking Swords to Spinning Wheels
Vesterheim’s Zach Row-Heyveld will share images and stories of rarely-seen objects currently on display in the Favorite Things exhibit. He will also provide insight into how museums collect, preserve, and give access to these treasured objects.

Bunader and Norwegian sweaters encouraged!
