All of Ross Sutter’s grandparents came from Sweden except for his mother’s mother, Esther Eastman, who was born in Minnesota and lived there her whole life. Ross visited her often in her high-rise apartment building in Minneapolis, and during each and every visit, she would tell him stories, sing him songs, and give him lots of good things to eat including his favorite: skinny pancakes. Join us for Ross’s family performance – you’ll hear stories about her most prized artifacts, sing a song about getting thick and fat, learn a clapping game, and even get the recipe for those pancakes! Ross will play his grandmother’s favorite tune on his accordion and play his guitar and his dulcimer too.
