The History of Norwegian Sweaters

Location: In-person at 1385 Mendota Heights Rd, Suite 100, Mendota Heights, MN or online on Zoom

Learn about the history of different types and styles of Norwegian sweaters, including Setesdal, Fana, Marius, and Olympic from textile expert and Vesterheim Chief Curator Laurann Gilbertson. Laurann will also discuss the symbolism behind some of the patterns and colors on sweaters made today.

This is an open meeting of the Norwegian American Genealogical Association (N-AGA). Non-members are welcome to attend and registration is not required for in-person. Anyone interested in attending the presentation remotely may contact president@norwegianamerican.org for a link.
