The Norwegian Embassy is participating in this cultural family event in Washington, D.C. During the event, visitors can travel the world as they go from embassy to embassy and experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries.
Vesterheim and Luther College will be there along with the following artists sharing their craft!
- David and Lynn Susag from Lanesboro, Minnesota — wooden bowl turning on a spring pole lathe and skinnfell.
- Kathleen Almelien from Washington, Iowa — band weaving
- Lise Lorentzen from Bel Air, Maryland — rosemaling
- Marit Nelson from White Sulfur Spring, West Virginia — traditional rosemaling stroke work as face painting
