Vesterheim raises a glass to Pulpit Rock Brewing Company!
This winter, Pulpit Rock in Decorah toured Vesterheim Museum looking for artwork from the collection to design the label of their new tart beer, Taerteøl. They chose a piece of Valdres rosemaling.
We’ll be helping them celebrate the release of this beer on February 23 at the brewery at 207 College Drive. There will be Vesterheim folk-art demonstrators from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the opening event, including Sally Stromseth—rosemaling; Rebecca Hanna—ale bowl carving; Kim Glock—carving spoons and kuksas; Ellen Macdonald—chip carving; Ruth Green—rosemaling; and Norma Refsal—jewelry making.
