Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!   We enjoyed a beautiful day celebrating Syttende Mai, Norway’s Constitution Day, on Friday, May 17, at Vesterheim with a children’s parade through Vesterheim’s Heritage Park, games, crafts, a concert with fiddler Erik Sessions, Decorah’s Nordic Dancers, free admission and ice cream, and lots of fun. Thanks to everyone who visited!

This event has been made possible for 26 years by generous gifts to the Vesterheim Annual Fund from Jeff and Marilyn Roverud.

The 1814 Matching Gift Challenge We are amazed and humbled by your support of the 1814 Challenge this weekend. We are excited to share that your donations on Syttende Mai, including TWO matching gifts of $1,814 from Jeff and Marilyn Roverud, raised $8,200 for the Vesterheim Annual Fund!

The donations yesterday will help support youth and multi-generational programs at Vesterheim, keeping future generations inspired by and engaged with the Norwegian-American story.  Tusen takk!
