During Volunteer Appreciation Month, all of us at Vesterheim extend our heartfelt thanks to the more than 200 volunteers who serve the museum in so many ways each year!
Their generous gift of time makes it possible to share Norwegian culture and heritage through core events like Syttende Mai, Nordic Fest, and Norwegian Christmas.
Thanks to volunteers, music rings out in the historic Bethania Lutheran Church, and by watching folk art demonstrations, visitors are inspired to try new ways of expressing their appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship.
With volunteer knowledge, Vesterheim can bring in tour and school groups of all sizes and provide interesting and educational experiences as they explore the story of Norwegian immigration and compare it to their own stories.
Volunteer support means the world to Vesterheim. Every time volunteers give their time, they build up the museum, and each story they tell inspires people to learn more.
We can’t thank you enough. Tusen Takk for being a part of Vesterheim!
