The pandemic has changed many things, but not the Decorah area fourth-graders’ love for the Pioneer Immersion Program!

Vesterheim created some digital learning opportunities for classes to finish up the program this spring, and students completed their projects and journals at home.

Unfortunately, we were not able to host the usual exhibit of projects and student journals or the community open house. So to celebrate their work, we are sharing photos of projects that students sent  us. This gallery is a tribute to the students and their teachers, families, and friends who helped them have fun while learning.

Many thanks to Voltmer Electric, the Depot Outlet, Ruth Ann Schultz, Joann Voltmer, and Barbara and Rich Amundson for sponsoring the program and for supporting this community of learning, both on-site and online!
