Come and meet photographer Erika Skogg and learn more about her project as a National Geographic Explorer to document life and traditions in several Nordic-American communities, including Decorah, Iowa. There will be curator comments at 10:15 a.m. and treats will be served following the gallery talk.
Vesterheim is excited to welcome Skogg back to Decorah! And you might recognize some of the people in her photographs.
Erika Skogg’s photography is featured in the exhibition Scandinavian American: Photography by National Geographic Explorer Erika Skogg, open now at Vesterheim.
Vesterheim offers free admission the second Saturday of every month! Come enjoy the museum and have fun with various planned special activities.
The exhibit is supported by Janet and Rob Coe and The John K. and Luise V. Hanson Foundation. Free Second Saturdays are supported in part by a generous gift to the Vesterheim Annual Fund from Kari and Pete Espinosa.
