Celebrate the community-curated exhibition Favorite Things during a free reception on March 28 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the museum’s Main Building. There will be comments at 3:30 p.m.
For the Favorite Things exhibition, Vesterheim is sharing the amazing artwork and fantastic stories of gems from the collection—chosen by fans and friends of the museum. Some objects were chosen for their beauty, some for their compelling stories or family connections, and others were selected for deeply personal reasons.
This is the second time Vesterheim has presented an exhibit of “favorite things.” The first was organized in 2014 by beloved Vesterheim staff member Alison Dwyer. Dwyer passed away in 2015, and her family has generously sponsored this version of the exhibit in her memory. Some of Dwyer’s family will be present at the reception.
